Storing recipient addresses in a user database
You can optionally instruct SmartRelay to store email and SMS recipient addresses in a user database within Contactsend. This is useful, for example, to automatically build a recipient database when sending each a welcome message.
Note:
This functionality must be configured when SmartRelay is set up. See Setting up SmartRelay for more details. Please get in touch with your usual contact at Contactlab, such as your project manager, account manager or Contactlab customer care for more information.
When the storing of recipient addresses is configured, the following special headers are also enabled:
X-Clab-SmartRelay-ExternalId
andX-Clab-SmartRelay-ExternalDesc
See Adding your own information and External identifier and descriptionX-Clab-SmartRelay-PrimaryKey
See Adding Primary key identifiers below and Primary key
Adding Primary key identifiers
An unique, integer-based primary key is used to identify a recipient in the database, rather than an email address or phone number. These are normally generated automatically when a new record is added, but an optional MIME header enables you to define your own value for SmartRelay to use. See Primary key for more details about this header.
