The new test send feature arrives in send

· 2 min read

The "Test Send" feature allows you to send the email template you are editing directly from the Email Designer to a selected group of recipients of your choice.

This means that you can now instantly check how your email content appears to a selected audience, without needing to create a full email send. It’s a very useful tool to quickly refine your email content and layout.

How it works

Using the "Test Send" feature is incredibly simple and intuitive.

Design your template: click on Create your email template using Email Designer, as you normally would. When you're ready to test your template, select the "Actions" button and click "Test Send."

A pop-up window will appear.

You’ll be able to set the email subject and the headers "Sender", "Mail From", and "Reply to".

You can then select up to 10 recipients who will receive the test email. This can include your own email address, team members, or other contacts you want to involve in the review process.

The selected recipients will be able to view the email and provide immediate feedback. This real-time interaction allows you to make quick adjustments to your template.

What’s the benefit

The introduction of the "Test Send" feature brings several advantages to your email marketing workflow:

  • Efficiency and reduced complexity. "Test Send" simplifies the process of refining your layout by eliminating the need to create a full campaign for every iteration, saving valuable time and resources.
  • Real-time feedback. Instantly evaluate how your email content looks and performs, making it easier to optimize for different email clients and devices.
  • Collaboration. Seamlessly collaborate with team members and stakeholders by involving them in the testing process.
  • Rapid iteration. Quickly make adjustments to your template and see the immediate impact on its appearance and functionality.
