Many new features in the Email Designer editor

· 3 min read

With the release of the Email Designer editor on January 27, new features have been added to better manage your email templates. Let's take a detailed look at all the new features.

Preheader

It is now possible to configure the preheader of a template. The preheader is a short introductory text displayed next to or below the subject line of an email in the recipient's inbox. Its purpose is to provide a preview of the email content and encourage the recipient to open it. It is often used to reinforce the subject line message or add relevant information, thereby increasing the email's open rate.

To insert the preheader, go to the section: "Settings" -> "Email Details" -> "Preheader".

Preheader

You can enter up to 130 characters, although it is advisable to reduce the number of characters as much as possible to maintain better readability across all email providers.

Rounded Corner Images

This feature allows you to round the corners of images through the side panel. Select an image and enable the "Image rounded corner Image" option by selecting the rounding intensity.

Rounded Images

It is important to note that rounded corners for images are not displayed in Outlook. In these cases, the default design will have square corners.

Card Style

Similarly to images, it is possible to round the corners of cards and manage the spaces between the columns of the card itself.

Card Style

It is important to note that rounded corners for cards and content areas are not displayed in Outlook. In these cases, the default design will have square corners.

Dark Mode Preview

This option aims to help users detect design elements that may not render correctly in dark mode. This feature provides a general approximation, so we still recommend performing additional test sends. To view the dark mode preview, go to the section "Actions" -> "Preview" -> and enable "Dark Mode Preview".

Button Hover

The hover effect for buttons allows you to add style changes (such as background color, text color, and border style) that activate when the mouse cursor hovers over a button on desktop devices. You can preview these effects directly in the editor and in the preview screen.

Important: Hover effects are supported by about 60% of email clients, but have significant limitations in Outlook on Windows.

If the email client does not support the hover effect, the email recipient will simply see the standard button properties as designed, without any changes on hover.

To apply the hover effect to a button:

  • Insert the button into the workspace and select it.
  • In the sidebar, apply the desired effects to the "Button Hover" section.
