Right to object

The Right to object (Art. 21) allows the Data Subject to object at any time to the processing of their personal data for reasons related to their particular situation. The Data Controller must cease processing the personal data unless they can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override the interests, rights, and freedoms of the Data Subject, or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

Right to object in the platform

If the request is managed through the interface, platform users with specific permissions can:

  • Access the Customers > Customer List section.

  • Search for and/or select the relevant profile and click on Edit.

  • Enter the Consents area and make the necessary changes as requested by the Data Subject.

  • Save the changes.

What happens in the platform when the Data Subject exercises the right?

In Segments/Plans:

  • If the Data Subject exercises the right to object, it is the responsibility of the Data Controller to check the schedules in which the contact is included and proceed with their removal if necessary.

In Automations:

  • If the Data Subject exercises the right to object, it is the responsibility of the Data Controller to check the automations in which the contact is included and proceed with their removal if necessary.

In Send:

  • If the Data Subject exercises the right to object, it is the responsibility of the Data Controller to check the sends in which the contact is included and proceed with their removal if necessary.
