Right to rectification
The Right to rectification (Art. 16) is the right of the Data Subject to obtain from the Data Controller the correction of inaccurate personal data. Considering the purposes of the processing, the Data Subject also has the right to have incomplete personal data completed.
Right to rectification in the platform
The request can be fulfilled via API, as part of the usual profile update flow, or manually through the UI.
If the request is handled through the UI, platform users with specific permissions can:
-
Access the Customers > Customer List section.
-
Search for and/or select the relevant profile and click on Edit.
-
Enter the profile of interest and make the necessary changes as requested by the Data Subject.
-
Save the changes.
What happens in the platform when the Data Subject exercises the right?
If the Data Subject's profile is included in campaigns and/or automations, you need to:
-
Plans with generated list and scheduled deliveries
- Retrieve the list of created schedules (with a status of "ready") from Plans list and add a check for the previously created segment to exclude it.
- Remove the user from the only "ready" schedules with a pre-generated list from the Settings > Segments > Contacts Management section by entering the user's PK_ID.
- Retrieve the list of sends (email/SMS) in Send where the contact is included and possibly adjust the send filter to exclude them.
- From the Analyze > User Management > User Data Management section of Send Module, you can verify which sends include the user. This applies only to sends with queue extraction already completed.
-
Automations
- Retrieve the list of automations in Automations > Contact Search where the contact is included.
- Decide whether and from which automations to remove the contact.
